21st Anniversary GALA Honorees

 Dede & Jim Bartlett:  Community Philanthropists of the Arts, Education and Women's Health

Dede and Jim Bartlett are long-time New Canaan residents who raised their family here and have supported dozens of community organizations. 

Dede is an honors graduate of Vassar and holds a master's degree from New York Univerity.  She was a senior corporate executive with Exxon Mobil and Altria.  She founded the New Canaan Abuse Prevention Partnership. Dede has provided hundreds of internships for women in STEM at NYU and Vassar. Vassar's Admissions & Career Education Center will be named for her. 

Jim majored in economics at the University of Colorado and attended NYU for his MBA.  He founded a hedge fund and has given hundreds of college scholarships in STEM and economics to students at Boulder High School and the children of Marine Corps veterans.  Dede and Jim were honored with the Spirit of New Canaan Award by the New Canaan Community Foundation in 2022.
