The Summer Theatre of New Canaan’s

DramaRamas

An award-winning program supporting performance opportunities for children with autism and all abilities for over 15 years!

  • June 22 – July 21, 2024
  • New Canaan, CT

Overview

Our award-winning DramaRamas program has been providing performance opportunities for children with autism and all abilities for over 15 years! Each summer, our DramaRama Cast works with acting mentors to rehearse and perform an abridged version of one of STONC’s summer musical productions. Our actoring mentors work one-on-one with each child during rehearsals and performances to support interpretation and performance as needed or desired. The DramaRamas will meet with their peers for a series of 90-minute in-person rehearsals to learn the music, rehearse scenes and learn choreography and then perform their show for a public audience.

The Summer Theatre of New Canaan’s DramaRamas Program was honored with a special recognition award from the Connecticut Critics Circle! The program is sponsored by the Joan Dionne Foundation.
