Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Stoopkid Stories LIVE! is a fun new show adapted from the hit children's podcast Stoopkid Stories written by Melissa Victor. Be a part of the Stoopkid Crew as they come alive on stage with fun new songs, hype dances and an amazing story about believing in yourself. It's going to be a fun time so let's go! Recommended for children ages 4 and up.

Come see our Junior Company of middle school students who must may be the stars of tomorrow! They will perform on our professional tent stage theatre. They have rehearsed for three weeks with our production staff perfecting their acting, singing and dancing to put on their own production. Recommended for all ages.

This is a unique one of a kind award winning educational program created by Melody Libonati, Artistic Director Summer Theatre of New Canaan.

The Summer Theatre of New Canaan (STONC), Fairfield County’s professional summer theatre company based in Waveny Park, New Canaan will open its 19th season July 7 with Broadway's Tony-Winning Musical Once On This Island, Directed and Choreographed by George Faison, the first African American to win a Tony for choreographing The WIZ on Broadway and Music Directed by recording/concert artist and musical director to many R&B stars Damien Sneed. Also for young audiences the Summer Theatre is presenting The Wizard of Oz opening July 15.

For young audiences the Summer Theatre is presenting The Wizard of Oz running July 15 - 31. In this production, the classic movie The Wizard of Oz, is creatively brought to life in an abridged musical version specifically created to present to young audiences. Join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road through Oz to find the Wizard sharing one adventure after another. Also, the Summer Theatre will be presenting two special events this summer. The Thomas Ortiz Dance Festival on July 12 at 7:30pm and the New Canaan Chamber Music concert on July 26 at 7:30pm featuring world renown pianist Andrew Armstrong and violinist Tessa Lark. All season shows are presented under a large state of the art tent with reserved and open field seating. Tickets with reserved chairs can be ordered or bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.
